Forward
Momentum
When the children of Israel left Egypt what could
have been a 40 day trip ended up being a 40 year journey.
Our moving forward with God can be delayed or even
be stopped.
I want to revisit two realizations regarding our
relationship and progress in God’s plan for our lives.
Completion if Christ
Standing on the Promise
We will end up talking about our kingdom authority.
Operating in kingdom authority is difficult if not
impossible without walking in the first two areas.
What does completion in Christ mean?
Colossians 2:10
and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all
principality and power.(NKJV)
The word complete here means filled, up,
lacking nothing, entire, whole.
Provisionally complete----spirit-soul-body --part or the atonement.
(Isaiah
53:5)
Spiritually made alive unto Him---a new creation in
Him -2 Cor 5:17
We have been given newness of life Romans 6:4
We are enabled to walk in the Spirit Galations 5:16
2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of
anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,(NKJV)
Does this mean spiritually or does it include our
soul----mind will and emotions as well?
God wants to complete areas of our memory when
presented with a certain stimulus, produces negative emotions.
Your emotions are not voluntary but in-voluntary
responses to a stimulus
Two people may be presented with the same
information---one may have a critical attitude and the other accepting.
Incompleteness is hard to recognize unless it
manifest itself with the negative emotional response.
Since the incompleteness exists---we immediately
stuff our soul with our own fix.
Even without any incompleteness negative influences
create a void of lack of completeness in our sense of well-being.
What we do for ourselves to make ourselves feel
better is artificial completion.
There is a temporary satisfaction—but it eventually
turns sour.
With the artificial completion ((bitterness, anger, resentment and
un-forgiveness manifest)
Satan then is able to work in self-provided
completion.
Most offensive things that come our way are the
result of an in-completeness in someone else.
Recognizing our in-completeness is vitally
important.
Turning to God for our completion is the next step.
Every time a situation occurs we have
a choice to make.
Our future response has to be limited to turning to
God in our area of incompleteness.
Without this vital step it’s very difficult to stand
on the promises of God or operate in the Kingdom Authority He has given us.
Let’s talk about standing on the promises of God
As His children God has made promises to us.
2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in
Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.(NKJV)
All the promises of God both temporal and eternal in
Jesus Christ are yes----Not maybe
And in Him Amen-----meaning so be it.
Being are of God’s promises is there a mentality
that we should operate in?
Let’s read about Abraham
Genesis 12:1-3
Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of
your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I
will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your
name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And
I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall
be blessed."(NKJV)
God tells him to go to the promise.
This may have been inconvenient.
God’s Promise
I will bless you and make your name great
You shall be a blessing
I will bless those who bless you
I will curse him who curses your
In you all the families of the earth shall be
blessed.
But first God placed a requirement on Abraham---Get out of your country
to a land I will show you.
Hebrews 11:8-9
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out
to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not
knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a
foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of
the same promise;(NKJV)
He went to the place of promise not knowing exactly
where he was going.
He dwelt in the land of promise even though the
promise had not been received.
He could have said I will wait until I see it then I
will go.
When I get the deed I will claim it.
He stood on the promise with
expectation without any ownership rights.
He didn’t see it in the natural but in the
supernatural.
He saw it by faith and not by natural sight.
Our faith gives substance to things hoped
for---Supernatural substance to what we cannot see.
Can we dare stand in a position of expectancy even
though it’s not happened? Yes---It’s
the only rational choice
Hope from a distance will never get the job done.
Discouragement will eventually take you over.
Even though our salvation regarding glorification is
not completed we stand on that promise.
I choose to stand in a place of expectancy.
Once I did this things began to happen.
Go stand on the promise.-----Claim ownership of it.
Let’s talk about our Kingdom Authority
In a kingdom there is most definitely a King and He
has absolute authority.
As part of the body of Christ we are part of the
kingdom and the kingdom of God is in us.
Jesus declared all authority in heaven and earth has
been given to me
If all authority is His then Satan has no
authority.
Matthew 16:19
And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of
heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever
you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."(NKJV)
He has given us the keys of the kingdom to open
doors that in the natural look like barriers.
The power to access truths regarding the provision
Christ has made for us.
We have been given the ability to bring His kingdom
rule and authority everywhere we go.
Luke 10:19
Behold! I have given you authority and power to
trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and
ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in
any way harm you.(AMP)
Operating in Kingdom authority means standing in
kingdom authority.
The verse says over all the power that the enemy
possesses.
You don’t have to be afraid of the enemy, he
will be afraid of you.
Let’s Re-cap
We live in a state of allowing Jesus Christ to
complete us.
We stand on the promises of God.
We operate in the kingdom
authority He has given us
