Free In Christ

Romans 3:= 24-26

being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesu= s, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed ov= er the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time= His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has f= aith in Jesus.(NKJV)

Romans 8:2

For the law of the = Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.(NKJ= V)

Redemption---means that Christ bought us= and freed us from the captivity and dominion of sin.

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now y= ou are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God's favor = and mercy].

Romans 7:6

But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not = in the oldness of the letter. (NKJV)

Romans 7:4

Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another--to Him who was rais= ed from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.(NKJV)

We have to accept the freedom from the domination of s= in and performance of the law as our taskmaster

The law is meant to drive us to the gospel where we find forgiveness, righteousness and power to live the Christian li= fe.

Galatians 5:16

But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Sp= irit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). (AMP)

Desiring proper alignment of spirit soul and body <= u>we walk in the Spirit

Walking in the Spirit is the better, happier, more joy filled life.

Walking in the Spir= it controlled or influenced by Him or slavery to the law and dependence on our own good works

Accepting freedom from si= n means that we also turn from sin

True redemption will mani= fest itself is a righteous life style.

Galatians 5:25

If we live by the [Holy] = Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in = God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.](A= MP)

If we have made the decla= ration that we are alive unto God---then let’s walk it out.

The Holy Spirit is our he= lper and counselor.
